This beautiful bonnet was meticulously made using several French antique laces, as well as vintage satin and ribbon. It is home made and very intricately done. The double froth of gorgeous laces surrounding the front of the bonnet provide an enchanting frame for your dollie's face. Between the two gathered and ruched streamers of blue vintage ribbon are masses of another exquisite antique lace, in a deeper shade of ecru. This is paired with very old and delicate cream colored tulle, which is light as air. The back of the bonnet boasts yet another rare lace, in the form of tiny bunches of grapes and leaves hanging down from their stems. A ribbon of the same tulle sits perched at the back of the bonnet. To complete the look, there are lace ties on either side of this adorable "French" creation. The desirable shades of cream and ecru, along with the blue of the ribbon cannot be beat. I am showing this bonnet on Gabrielle, my 13 inch Jumeau, who has a head circumference of 10 inches - 12 inches including her wig. It fits her well but there is a little room, so I believe it could comfortably fit a head circumference, including wig, of 13 inches but not more. This adorable bonnet is sure to make any dollie very happy.
