This is a truly adorable little bonnet for your "Bebe". It is all handmade and no detail has been spared. The material is a wonderful soft silk black velvet - the kind you just don't see anymore. There is a very wide brim around the entire crown of the hat which has gathered underneath and poking out under, two layers of ruched and pleated silk. Each layer of this silk is edged with tiny silk ribbon that has been doubled and then gathered. The interfacing of the hat is buckram which still holds its shape and is in wonderful condition. Where the crown and brim meet, there is the same tiny silk ribbon as was used on the ruching. Finally, this little creation is tacked upward in the front and decorated with little hand wrapped flowers. This little hat is in pristine condition and a true little treasure. Claire, my Bebe, illustrates just how really adorable your little girl will look too. Measurements: Inside circumference: 8 inches ~ Hat brim: 1 1/2 inches ~ Head size: 7 inches to 8 inches - perhaps a little larger head (not more than 8 1/2 inches) if your doll's wig is not too thick. Claire's head circumference is 7 inches and with her wig, she needs the 8 inch circumference for the hat to sit a little down on her head.
