While I don't often use the word rare, in this case these items are. Horace and Clarabelle were well loved characters, but Disney never made either of their likeness into items in large quantities, thus the scarcity compounded with the inherent fragility of the items = RARITY.
These glasses are all in excellent condition, no chips or flaws. All were made in 1938 by the Libbey Glass Company of Toledo Ohio for the Walt Disney Company.
Glasses stand approximately 4 and 3/8" tall and the mouth is 2 and 5/8" across. Horace and Clarabelle are bright vibrant red, and Mickey and Minnie are black. NO OXIDATION. Mickey and Minnie may be seen on page 28, plate 23 in (the WONDERFUL) Michael Stern's FABULOUS book, Stern's Guide to Disney Collectibles. His value estimate is $100.00 for Minnie, and $110 for Mickey.
Horace and Clarabelle are not to be found in any of my research or books, and I've hunted for several years, but their value should be considered as easily in the same range as Mickey and Minnie.
I will ship the tumblers WELL protected from breakage, and insured within an inch of their lives!
