SOLD 1951 Strung Vogue Ginny "Eve"

Here is adorable Eve outfit #35, from the Brother and Sister Series by Vogue Dolls. Her early 1951 outfit is just in wonderful condition, the gay cotton plaid is nice, bright, and crisp, no mothing to the hat, and her panties are trimmed in darling tiny rick-rack. The black centersnap shoes have likely never been removed, and look great, and those are her original socks, and that color is very rarely seen.

You may see this doll and outfit on page #96 of the WONDERFUL book by Izen and Stover, "The Collector's Encyclopedia of Vogue Dolls- 2nd Edition".

This wonderful Vogue Doll has a nice high color face, without any cheek rubs, but as you can see, her brows and lashes have oxidized and now match her hair.

Originally, her braids were not pulled back, but the mohair used in the paint brush type braids can become very fragile, so when I acquired this doll I tied her hair back and nothing else. I do believe the wig to be original though.
