The Jaymar Specialty Company was located at 200 5th Avenue in New York City, and they made a variety of figures often times those made popular by radio and cartoon characters of the day -- in the 1920's and the 1930's.
Of interest to collectors; Jaymar was founded Jacob Marx, father of famous toymaker Louis Marx.
For purposes of ID, this toy may be viewed in Michele Karl's fantastic book, "Composition & Wood Toys and Dolls."
