This is a gorgeous sterling enamel compact with a scenic center medallion. The body of the compact has an allover blue guilloche enamel layer over detailed engine turned sterling. In the center of the hinged lid is a round enameled scene of a courting couple. This medallion has the tiniest and most delicate little gold rosettes around the outer edge. This is a lovely vintage Lin-Bren petit point compact. The needle work features a bouquet of flowers on a taupe background with a black and gold border. The colors look very similar to those found in antique tapestries. The back of the compact is covered with black satin. It is marked around the edge of the mirror - Patent Lin-Bren 2425540. This vintage Henriette gambling theme compact is quite a little rarity! It is their classic ball shaped compact but this one has a pair of dice inside the clear plastic lid. The green die and cream die sit on a shiny silver tone surface. This compact is listed in Laura Mueller's Collector’s Encyclopedia of Compacts volume II, page 244. (Valued at $200.-$250.) This is an oval sterling silver Majestic compact with a quilted style lid. It releases with a simple press of the button. Inside the lid is the original mirror which has a couple of very tiny dark spots and a hint of faint haze. The back near the hinge is stamped Sterling Majestic U.S.A. This vintage Richard Hudnut compact is red and white cold painted enamel on gold plated brass. Inside are a covered powder and uncovered dry rouge. The rouge palette is upside down in its compartment – presumably so it won’t rub on the puff. Both puffs are held in place by little metal tabs.
