The gorgeous greens of this beautiful mother of pearl pendant cried out amazonite to me and so I adorned it with the deep green of 14 by 8mm oval Russian dark green amazonite beads.

The pendant itself is a beautiful illustration of the cream and white swirls of mother of pearl, and so it was only appropriate that I add the most beautiful 6mm round mother of pearl beads that I could find. And, I tore apart 4 strands to choose only the best for this necklace.

Then, I carefully hand mitered each bead and used 3mm the highest quality 14kt gold filled beads as spacers.

As my mother grew up near the Russian border, I was taught from 5 years of age to work thread with my hands. So, it is was only natural for me to hand knot this necklace with white silk thread. This particular silk thread is reinforced with nylon to add stability for the weight of the beads, yet allows for a beautiful lay of the necklace.

This pendant is signed by the Russian artist on the back, in essence, a miniature painting, which makes this necklace a beautiful heirloom that can be passed on to future generations. The signature looks to be possibly the letter "A" with a heart following it.

There is a high quality 14kt gold filled bail holding the high quality 14kt gold filled wire wrap attached to the pendant itself. I finished this beauty off with an easy to operate high quality 14kt gold filled hook and eye clasp. But, like all my jewelry, I can make one for you with any other clasp you choose at a reasonable cost.

This necklace measures 22 inches from end to end and hangs slightly less than 13 ½ inches including the pendant.
