A fantastic Go with Everything necklace, this little sodalite gemstone beauty can be worn to work with a business suit, to church with your best dress and to the mall with your jeans. It is a wonderful complement with anything in your closet that is blue, red, white, green, yellow, tan and even looks great with deep purple. It is as versatile as a plain gold chain.

Sodalite is a beautiful and ancient stone found mainly in Afghanistan. It is a close relative of Lapis Lazuli, is found in the same mines, and can be substituted for it. It is often referred to as Princess Blue because a deposit of Sodalite was found in Canada during a Royal Visit.

One of the most beautiful aspects of navy blue Sodalite is the white veining. I have taken a close up of the pendant so you are able to see the veining more closely. I also strung the twisted oval accent beads so their white veining would match the pendant. And, by now you probably realize that Sodalite is my very favorite gemstone and I know that it will quickly become one of your favorites.

This amazing little necklace is comprised of one large focal piece measuring 38 x 20 mm, two faceted oval twist accent beads measuring 10 x 7 mm, and 27 of 8mm round beads. Each item has been interspersed with 3mm highest quality 14kt gold filled beads and has been finished with an easy to operate high quality 14kt gold filled hook and eye clasp.

Each of the beads and the focal have been meticulously hand mitered to smooth out the interior of each bead to keep them from wearing on the lovely coordinated blue cord.

The necklace is then double knotted between each bead with a special silk cord which is bonded to nylon for strength. This knotting is performed entirely in an ancient traditional manner and I never use any quick knot tools of any kind. This gives you a true knot which is both strong as well as beautiful and gives your necklace a beautiful lay that cannot be found in manufactured jewelry.

The hook and eye clasp allows you the ability to dress without having to struggle with you clasp on busy work mornings or when you are running late.

This beautiful sodalite necklace measures almost 19 inches from end to end and hangs down about 8 ½ , including the focal piece.
