Another of the recently rediscovered treasures from my storage area. a beautiful Monax 13" oval platter by MacBeth Evans in the American Sweetheart (c.1930-1936) pattern. In excellent condition, this lovely pearlized white glass is reminiscent of the more elegant glass of the period. It has a bluish tint when flat and the fiery beauty of opalescence when held to the light. The pattern is repeated on the scalloped rim with the almost 1"deep center absent of any decoration. A great piece to add to your collection.....priced below my cost and the lowest price on the web.
