Beautifully carved of flame mahogany, this two tier table is known as a dumbwaiter (with a second classification of Irish Butler). Whatever it's called, this fabulous piece of furniture stood near the head of my table holding serving platters, so as to avoid clutter with a bud vase on its top shelf). It stands 33" tall-- its top tier with a diameter of 18" and the lower tier diameter measures 24 1/2". It is sturdy and heavy--in good original condition with some crackling on both tiers.
