Living Literature "The Best of Mark Twain" Read by Marvin Miller, 4Record Set with 46P Book, 1961
I am an avid fan of the collected works of Mark Twain! Samuel Langhorne Clemens is, perhaps, the best loved American humorist, satirist and political writer of the last quarter of the 19th century. His stellar life as riverboat pilot, typesetter, author, and lecturer paralleled his prophetic prediction of his life when he said "I came in with Halley's Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go out with it. It will be the greatest disappointment of my life if I don't go out with Halley's Comet. The Almighty has said, no doubt: "Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together." Several examples of this "freak's" work are brilliantly read by Marvin Miller on this 4 12-inch long playing records. Included in the boxed set is an illustrated 46 page book containing all the recorded material and additional selections.
The 4 vinyl records are in excellent unscratched and undamaged condition as is the beautiful booklet. The cardboard box shows little wear and is in very good condition with the exception of two taped corners.
A collector's dream edition!
