Charcoal and Black Dragonware (Moriage) 7 1/2" Vase, "Made in Japan"

Delicate moriage creates an electrifying blue-eyed, fire-breathing dragon. Following the traditional style, this winged creature flies across a richly tinted sky bordered and accented with charcoal gray and black. Standing 7.5" tall, this is one of the larger of the dragonware pieces. Six tiny missing moriage beads is the only imperfection on this impressive matte finish vase (see photo to see scattered missing beads). Although the beading flaw is still aesthetically pleasing, I have reduced the price to compensate for the defect. "Made in Japan" is stamped on bottom but no maker is identified. A beautiful addition to collection or decor.
