A Democratic memento in "big red" Montana is scarcer than hen's teeth! This lovely 4" cup with the official blue and gold (metallic)seal of the US Senate was presented as a "thank you" from veterinarian John Melcher to those that actively supported his campaigns. Senator Melcher is primarily remembered for his service to the Committee on Indian Affairs. An active and outspoken Senator, Mr. Melcher was defeated in 1988.

An unusual (and somewhat scarce) commemorative piece to add to a political, Montana or Democratic collection. Undamaged and in its own original box, a really nice find!
