This vintage 40s-50s purse is one of the most beautiful I have had in my shop. It is covered in sewn on tiny black glass seed beads, with the beads not covering floral cabbage rose needlepoint on the front and the flap. The flap is gold tone metal with a strong spring hinge, it likes to be closed! The frame is gold tone and in excellent condition. The interior of the purse is lined in luxurious black satin and the label inside reads Hand Made in Hong Kong. I do not see any damage or flaws. You can see a nearly identical purse in the book 100 Years of Purses by Ronna Lee Atkins on page 25. The purse is 9" wide, 6" high, and 1 5/8" deep. It has a beaded handle with a 5 3/4" drop.
