SOLD Vintage Jade Green Metal 30s-40s Cake Saver Wood Base

This vintage cake saver or server is painted the popular jade or jadeite green color on both the metal lid/top and the wooden base around the rim. The lid has slightly faded floral and bird cage decals on the top. The handle is a clear glass knob like a cupboard knob. The round wooden base is in very good condition. There are some splits in the wood, but it is in no danger of coming apart. One of the rubber feet has come of the bottom. There are some scratches to the green paint on the lid and the base, and the metal handle that clamps on to hold it together is a little rusted. However, for something that dates from the 1930s-40s, this is in really good shape overall.
