Glass:Black:Ruby
This compote is black glass (ruby red when held to a strong light). It is 7 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Teardrop was made by Indiana Glass from the 1940s through the 1990s. It is most common in white, black is an unusual color.

Glass:Black:Ruby
This compote is marked France on the base. It is black glass, embossed in a fruit pattern around the sides with apples, pears, grapes, and cherries. It is 4 7/8" tall and 4 7/8" wide with no chips or cracks. The stem and foot are faintly ribbed. The glass is so thick that I can not shine a light through it, so I don't know if it is ruby or amethyst. I would guess ruby.

This is a pair of single light candle holder bowls in the Cameo or Diamond Point pattern made by Indiana Glass for Tiara Exclusives. They are black glass, ruby when held to a strong light. Each is 4 1/8" x 3 3/8" and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

This little urn was made by Tiara Exclusives in 1978. It was originally sold as a set along with a matching lighter and ashtrays. The urn is a cigarette holder but could also be used as a toothpick. It is 2 5/8" wide and 3 1/8" tall, in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This piece can be seen on page 78 of the book The Black Glass Encyclopedia by the West Virginia Museum of American Glass.

This is a creamer and sugar bowl in the Diamond Point pattern made by Indiana Glass. In black it was made for Tiara Exclusives and called Cameo. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The sugar is open, no lid. It is 3 5/8" x 3 1/4." The creamer is 4 1/8" high.

This is the Ginger jar made for Avon in black glass. The glass is deep ruby red when held to a strong light. It is embossed Avon on the base. The front is decorated with flowers in white, pink, yellow, and green. They look like cherry blossoms. The jar is 6 1/4" tall with the lid on and in excellent condition.
