This item is a Fenton Blue Opalescent Hobnail Cookie Jar base, in excellent condition. All it needs is a handle (easy to find) and a matching lid (more of a challenge to find) and you will have a piece of vintage Fenton worth $1000.00.

This item is pictured in John Walk's book, Fenton Rarities, and he says, "It has become the piece to own if you collect Fenton, let alone Blue Opalescent Hobnail! Made in early 1940's, it is one of the pieces that was discontinued soon after the introduction of Hobnail."

It stands 5 1/2 inches to the top and is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. There are no chips or cracks or broken hobs on this lovely piece.
