This is a Sterling Souvenir Spoon Indian Chief of "Helena, Montana". This spoon has fantastic crisp detail on it and it measures almost 6" in length. It has an Indian Chief is Full Headdress and is wearing a Tiger Claws / Tooth Necklace on the handle of the spoon and has a rather serious look on his face. It has a Corn Field full of Ears of Corn going down the handle and hidden in the Field is an Arrow and a Bow and another Arrow below.
The Bowl is artistically engraved with "Helen Mont". The back of the handle quite wonderful as well, picturing a Tee Pee in a natural setting of the Woods and a Canoe close by in a Stream with clumps of Reed or Grasses by the Canoe. then is shows a canoe Paddle and an Hatchet. It continues on with a Baby in a Papoose, detailed so well you can even see his little face. Then there is a Peace Pipe and it is marked Sterling "S" Trademark for the Shepard Company, who was well known for their Souvenir Spoons. And lastly, it has a ghastly Weapon in the shape of a Cub with spiky points on the end of the it! This is a great spoon that is just loaded with American Indian related relic items and people. It is in great condition as well as being This is a wonderful, exciting Spoon to look at as well as being in wonderful condition.
