This is a Blue & White Rowland & Marsellus Historical Plate of Myles Standish. It is quite a handsome rolled edge plate by Rowland & Marsellus celebrating Myles Standish. This plate measures a shade over 10" in diameter, it has a central scene of the Myles Standish Monument flanked by the Standish family seal and a representation portrait of Myles Standish himself along with his signature. Surrounding the rim are (6) six cartouches depicting the following: 1. The March of Miles Standish, 2. The Statue of Miles Standish, 3. Miles Standish's Sword, Pot & Platter, 4. The Standish House 1664, 5. The Grave of Miles Standish, 6. and the Mayflower. The plate is fully marked on the reverse: A S Burbank Plymouth, Mass./ Staffordshire England / R & M Co. (Rowland & Marsellus) / Copyrighted 1905 by A S Burbank. It has the following verse on it: "Spare, in the Pride of His Heart, Myles Standish, The Captain of Plymouth, This is the Sword of Damascus, I fought with in Flanders." by Longfellow.

It is in excellent condition. Dated 1905.
