SALE 19c Antique French Chinoiserie Old Paris Cup and Saucer c1830

Super hand painted and gilt early Chinoiserie decorated cup and saucer. They show their age with wear to the gilt, but are otherwise superb examples that are about 180 years old. Super fine details on the portrait of the Chinese couple with offset panels of florals. Very blue background with very fine scrolled gilt work all around. Rather heavy and solid measuring 5 5/8" diameter across the saucer with the cup being 3 5/8" diameter and 2 5/8" tall. I wondered if this might not be the work of Jean Pouyat as they are of that quality and construction.
