Late 1800's Antique Oak Framed Still Life Print “Fruits Abound”

This is a wonderful framed print… one to be loved and admired. I cannot find a signature on it, although there may be one in the dark part of the print and I just can’t see it. I have not taken the paper backing off to examine the print.

This wonderful picture has been a family heirloom since before the turn of the Century and it is in Excellent Condition!

I have actually never seen such a beautiful print; but not just the print… the frame itself is remarkable. It is made from Solid Oak and then adorned, on each side, with very detailed carved gesso grape clusters with leaves. At the top is a carving of two Horn-of-Plenty filled with fruit. It is very ornate and just lovely to look at. (There is a purplish spot near the bow... this is from the camera flash and not in the coloring of the frame). The colors in the print are vibrant, clear and crisp. There is a combination of Watermelon, Oranges, Purple and Green Grapes, Apples, Plums; all spread out on a Green Covered Tablecloth. There is a Wire Hanger that goes across the back, for a nice balanced hanging.

Measurement of the Frame is: 34” wide x 27” high… the print, which is covered with the original glass, is 30” wide x 23” high.
