Early 1900's solid brass hand forged Scottish alms plate with gorgeous raised floral motif in the center and tiny incised triple banding along the outer lip. The lines are slightly irregular as done by hand. Quite often a fabric liner was used for protection of the plate and raised design. Beautiful patina to the brass. The back has a type of black painted coating which has worn with the brass shining through in the center. A metal hanger was added to the back at some point for display hanging. Wonderful large size for filling with floral or fruit for table center as well. Excellent condition. Measures 15 .625L X 15.625W X 2.5H.
