English Engraving Framed C.1850 Walnut Burl

Gorgeous C.1850 thick wide walnut burl frame with rich patina and silver liner framing an English engraving of same age,titled "Anne Page Slender And Shallow". A scene from the Merry Wives of Windsor Engraving From The Original Picture in the Collection of Phillip Hone Esq. American Art Union 1850" as stated on the engraving. Beautiful attire on the subjects,note the shoes and ceiling. Few tiny pieces of burl missing on the aged frame,under layer same tone so is not noticeable. With the age of the piece,backed in wood slats with the center section missing which has allowed something to puncture a tiny hole in the engraving,other wise excellent condition,no spotting,etc.just nicely aged.Work on the engraving is fabulous. Measures 30L X 28H X 1.25D framed.Name of the engraver,etc. on bottom of picture.
