Gorgeous blue background on this hand painted tole metal jardinier from France late 19th century. Gilt trim surrounds the rim,base,two cute handles and outlining of the hand painted floral design on front in rose,pink,yellow,same blue with antique white background. Wonderful gilt tole design around the lip. Interior is brass colored,can tell has been used but no rust,etc. Bottom painted the same blue. Minor aging ln color couple of spots on back as seen in photo,very minor,appear as drips. Measures 5.5H X 7L with handles,5D. Most smaller to good size plants would fit well.
