Decorative vintage French pewter platter with scalloped edge has 6 pair of raised swags surrounding the lip with an oyster shell as the header of each. Beautiful raised lattice design between shells. The heavy plate has "finstain" for protection as noted in the incised box on back. Another symbol shows a man atop a shield design with "G.F". Third marking in the shape of a coin depicts a castle with three flags flying at each turret and several individual letters between. Front in wonderful condition,back the same with several surface scratches from use. Measures 12L X 12W X .75H. Sure to make any food more appetizing,highly decorative when not in use.
