19th century French empire saddle bench or stool is newly upholstered with leopard linen,taupe/camel background,black and brown blended spots on top seat and beneath. Double corded in the same fabric on both sides. Wonderful oyster carving in center block on both sides with acanthus leaf carving at the ends of each scrolled arms as well as the feet. Antique cream aged paint covers the frame with reeded frame and legs. Sturdy and comfortable with dual spindle support for arms and legs. A quite handsome addition to any room. Excellent condition. Measures 23.5H to top of arms,28.5L X 19W.
