C.1890-1900 European terra cotta black panther sculpture signed by EJM as seen on the back. The artist has captured every detail in the roaring cat with ears back,stalking prey on the jet black mountain rock. His coat shows the ripples in his lean body with detailing in his face and eyes,showing every tooth, whisker and toenail.Very handsome masculine piece particularly alluring when placed at mantle height looking down. In excellent condition,no nicks,chips or cracks and measures 23L X 7W X 11H.
