Highly unusual French 19th century tilt top table with tapestry style fabric under glass and solid gilt wood back which doubles as a fire screen.Beautiful floral design of hydrangeas,tulips and other floral in a raised motif of rose,yellow,green and blue palette against an antique cream background. Ornate gilt wood frame with decorative corners which match the legs and center support. Tilts for table top use and held securely with two antique brass catches. Very sturdy. Excellent condition.The glass and frame have prevented any dirt or discoloration of the fabric. Measures 33H X 21L X 14.5D upright,21H when flat.
