Mahogany slant front stationary box from 19th century England offers 7 hand made scalloped compartments for holding stationary,stamps and whatnot. Additional larger bottom tray for pens and another that still holds the original ink well with brass cap with no chips or cracks.Working lock and key with brass escutcheon. Solid brass hinges. Brass rivets with round head add a decorative touch on the inside of both doors.Excellent condition,rich patina to the dark wood. Measures 11.25L X 10H X 6.25D.
