Antiques:Boxes:Art European Carvings:Woodenware

Fabulous C.1795-1830 fruitwood round spice boxes from England were all hand milled and threaded so that one box screws onto the next as well as the wooden lid to form a spice column. Each is decorated with a tole like banner on the front displaying the contents. "Nutmeg" with slight wear to the name,"Cloves,Ginger,Mace,All-Spice"make up the assortment. The fruitwood has aged with a rich deep honey tone patina. The boxes twist open easily and are in wonderful condition and just as usable today ...
