This stem-wound, lever-set beauty is in good working condition and features a white enamel face with black roman numerals to mark the hours and a single sunk seconds dial. The serial number on the three-quarter gilt plate is 1889407, for an approximate year of production at 1903.
The case is a 25-year Dueber Special with the dust cover bearing the engraved 14K anchor mark, indicating a 14K gold filled casing. (The 25-year reference is to the duration of guarantee that the gold would not wear through to the base metal.)
In good working condition, this pocket watch appears to keep excellent time, the crystal is clean and clear, and the case is absolutely gorgeous, with a smooth panel near the front cover hinge should you desire to add a monogram. The only thing of note is the front cover sits but does not fully catch.
For those seeking a special gift for a loved one this holiday season but not familiar with watch sizes, the casing measures approx. 1-1/4" in diameter with a 1" crystal.
They don't get much sweeter than this little gem!
