The two-cup teapot is of a size that is best suited for one, but is great for both a solitaire daytime tea time or even an intimate evening for two, when youre looking for just a little after-dinner boost.
The teapot stands approx. 7-1/4 high to the finial point, and is 5-1/4 wide, handle to spout, with a base width of 3. The sugar is 5-1/8 wide, handle to handle, with a base width of 3-1/2, while the sugar is slightly smaller, measuring 4 wide, handle to spout, with a base width of 2-1/2.
Overall condition is very good, with no significant issues. The set has only been lightly polished. Both the creamer and sugar have one or two small, minor dents at or near the base which, by virtue of their location, go essentially unnoticed. The teapot handle has one pin missing, near the top, but the handle is quite secure. There are a couple of dimples on one side panel which, with the right tools and know-how, could be minimized or altogether smoothed out.
All pieces are marked Sterling as well as Mermod Jaccard & King Co., with the Crown Sterling hallmark, and the number 2994. Combined weight: 14 troy ounces. Circa 1910.
