Safely tucked away in a quiet corner of the world, a lone swan takes flight, casting reflection on the cool, calm pool of water below. The small lake and the secrets of this serene landscape are kept safe from the chaos of life, surrounded by tall wisps of grass and old, bent trees that stand near, their leafy branches suspended in air, lending shade and protection.

Hand painted with beautiful detail, this low, open, footed Noritake bowl makes for an elegant table centerpiece, its gilded handles to assist with easy transport.

Measuring 9-1/2" wide, handle to handle, this bowl stands 3-3/8" at the rim. Green Noritake mark of "M" (Morimura) in a wreath, with "Hand painted" and "Made in Japan" below, a mark that was registered by Nippon Toki Kaisha, Ltd. in 1918 and used until around 1940.

In excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs, and only slight signs of wear.
