I've poured through my books, browsed the sites, and picked the brains of highly regarded art glass dealers and collectors, but the maker for this stunning vase remains elusive. According to one site, the pattern here is similar to Rivulet, a pattern generally attributed to Thomas Webb & Sons. Some dealers and collectors felt it may be the work of Stevens and Williams, with Frederic Carder possibly being the designer, as similar designs are shown in The Glass of Frederic Carder, most of them while he was at Stevens and Williams. Either way, I think you'll agree it's a beauty and not one you're likely to encounter again any time soon.
Standing 5-1/2" high with a rim diameter of 4", I find no nicks, chips, or cracks. There is a tooling mark on one inwardly turned rim lobe, a couple of bubbles seen only on the inside, and a couple of inclusions, only one (near the base) visible from the outside (click to see the enlarged version of photo #7). Polished pontil.
