Victorian Cased Crackle Art Glass Vase with Raspberry Prunt Feet

A lovely and oh so unusual Victorian era art glass vase, with a yellow crackle surface over a thin middle layer of white and an interior lining of a luscious pink. At the rim is an applied scalloped trim that is clear with a touch of white opalescence. The vase stands on three clear toes/feet, each applied with a raspberry prunt surrounded by pulled points that give the feet a splash effect.

An unusual finishing technique, the crackled effect was accomplished by marking the outer layer prior to the final blowing, at which time the outer casing would split at the scored indentations.

Standing a mere 4" high, this vase is quite similar to a rose bowl in size and general body shape but without the turned-in top. Unsigned, but various characteristics strongly suggest this lovely vase is the work of either Stevens and William or Thomas Webb.

In very good condition, with a few ash inclusions and one small chip to a point on one of the feet. Polished pontil.
