Round Jeannette Jadite Coffee Canister - Horizontal Ribbed 40 oz.

Produced by the Jeannette Glass Company, this round Jadite (Jadeite) coffee canister with original aluminum lid was marketed in the late 1930s. In a lovely lime green, this canister has a concave horizontal ribbing on the bottom half of the body, with the word COFFEE in black lettering on the smooth upper surface.

Standing 7-5/8" high with a diameter of 4-1/4", the lid shows minor signs of wear, and the jar itself is in excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks. There is a small surface bubble at the rim but neither it nor the couple of tiny dings in the aluminum lid interfere with the smooth on/off threading. The bottom is marked on the underside with the number 2114-3, along with a barely detectable Jeannette "J" in a triangle.
