Exquisite small Anglo-Indian box, made in the Vizagapatam Region of British India, for jewelry or other small valuables, c.1860. It is constructed of sandalwood, with beautiful ivory embellishments, and floral themed lac work on the lid. It is in the casket form, slightly raised, and sits on fine small ivory paw feet. Ignoring the paw feet, the box measures 4.1” from side to side, 2.3” from front to back, and sits 1.8” high.

The condition is perfect, with all latticework intact and without issues of any kind.

Thanks for visiting.
