Fine Napoleon III rosewood glove box, with mother of pearl inlay in an attractive floral pattern. The box is slightly domed at the top and widens at the middle, a handsome shape. It measures 9.2" in length by 3.3" at is widest, and 2.5" at its highest. There is a keyhole, but no key.

The condition of the box is very good. The inlay is completely intact, although some wear is evident. There are slight nibbles at the right edge of the lid, and evidence of a repair at the back of the box above one of the hinges. There is also a very thin scratch originating at that repair and extending across the back.
