Stunning Regency rosewood table box. The top and front panel have intricate exquisite inlays of mother of pearl, shell, and brass. The inlay of the escutcheon is equally beautiful. The lock and hinges appear to be original; the key does not turn the lock and is supplied for effect. The inside of the box is lined throughout with more recent hand marbled paper. The box is a good size, measuring 12.1" in length by 8.7" in width to a height of 5.1".
