This is a gorgeous porcelain plate with an oriental scene featuring Mt. Fuji and a landscape with a detailed pagoda. Chokin Art is created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with pure silver and pure gold, usually 24 Kt. It is 6" in diameter with 24 Kt. gold.This art form has been handed down for over 800 years and was originated for decorating the armament of the Samurai warriors. This plate is in excellent condition with no wear. It's a beautiful work of oriental art.
