They live in Raleigh, North Carolina. They are originally from England, but have lived in the USA for over 20 years. They regularly visit the United Kingdom and over the last several years they have been purchasing and learning about British silver. They have become very knowledgeable in this area.

With the British hallmarking system it is very easy to identify what city assayed the piece for quality of the silver, the year it was made and very often, which silversmith made the piece.
