"Art washes from the soul, the dust of everyday life". Pablo Picasso. Lift your spirits with a beautiful piece of art.
The best description of Purygin's art is from the Exhibition Brochure that accompanied his December 1971 exhibit in Moscow: "Perhaps the most distinctive trait of this painter is his aspiration for the landscape painting and its compositionary plasticity, expression, value of the vibrant and emotional ending of nature's image. The movement towards the nature, its variability and spirituality are portrayed by the painter through his unique way of playing with bright, dazzling and elegant colors. The use of space dynamics and coloristic concentration the vibrant mood: sometimes joyful, sometimes romantic, and other times, sensitive....".
Most of Purygin's art is held in the Samara Regional Art Museum in the Valentin Purygin Studio Museum in Kuybyshev, Samara To my knowledge, there are very few pieces available and this particular painting is being offered by a private collector who purchased it directly from the artist in 1975.
