Royal Worcester Circa 1903 Demitasse Coffee Set In Original Asprey's of Bond Street Presentation Box

This delightful boxed set of six Royal Worcester demitasse cups, (or coffee cups) and saucers comes in its original presentation box - originally retailed by the prestigious retail establishment, Asprey’s of Bond Street. Includes six lovely sterling blue and white enameled spoons.

Masterfully decorated, this set features a deep royal-blue ground which is “speckled” with a lighter blue; giving this set a rich and interesting textured background for the Art Nouveau gilt, viny tendrils and hot-red, heart-shaped leaves. Gilt (gold) cup interiors, handles and saucer basins.

Condition is good. Looks unused. We can find no chips or cracks to any pieces, but one cup does not “ring” when struck. There is enamel loss to two of the spoons enameled surface where they rubbed against the box’s swivel-clip (see picture). Box stamped inside “Asprey London”.

Cup measures approximately 1-15/16” tall (without saucer). Saucer measures (appx) 3-13/16” dia. Box measures (appx) 13-5/8” wide x 10-1/4” deep.
