Wheel cut and fire polished amber and crystal daffodils glisten against a frosted background which is overlaid in honey amber yellow and green opaque glass. The background features of a distant woodland scene and the daffodil’s foliage is acid cut and satin finished.
Approximately 13” tall. No chips, cracks or restoration. There is a small void (burst bubble) at the mouth. This is not damage related, but is an anomalous feature that occured during manufacture.
A vase with this same decoration but 2" shorter (11” tall) sold at Sotheby’s Feb. 2003 Sale for 6000 GBP, or about $10,670.00 USD.
