Sensational! Venetian Art Glass Basket with Silver Foil Inclusions & Strawberries

This exquisite Venetian art glass basket is an exciting example of early 20th Century Italian glass at its very best. We are not certain of the maker, but it’s intricate and highly technical execution of the applied viney twisted handle heavily laden with overshot encrusted berries on a foil included clear glass parison is certainly the handiwork of one of the great masters of Italian artglass such as Salviati, Fratelli Torso or Venini.

Stands approximately 9-7/8” to the top of the handle. No chips, cracks or restoration.

Signed in script, “Made in Italy” at pontil.
