The mark on back of the plate dates this fantastically rare theme of a baseball game to Moritz Zdekauer production from 1891 to 1917. The turn-of-the-century uniforms are possibly the best indicator of when this hand painted porcelain plate was executed.
Measures approximately 9-5/8” diameter. Slight wear to surface and rim, but color still crisp and bright. Green underglaze mark for MZ Austria production. Impressed numbers “1000” and “24” and decorator number “3175”. No restoration.
