The celeste blue and white porcelain is decorated with colorful floral swags and heavy gold gilt enameling. Both the floral swags and the gilt enameling have a textural quality that is similar to jewelling and gives the intricate decoration dimension and verve.
Slight wear to gilding. The sugar has a small chip on the inner inside edge that has been re-gilt and is not easily detectable. Creamer has a short firing flaw in the form of a shallow crack at the edge about halfway between the spout and handle. Due to its location, this could not have occurred as a result of damage and does not fully extend to the outside of the creamer. This is a stable expansion fault, which occurred during the firing process. (See photo)
All dimensions are approximate, teapot 5-3/4 tall, cream pitcher 2-1/2, sugar 2, demitasse cup 2, saucer 4 diameter, tray 12-3/4 long x 10 wide. All pieces carry both Weiman and Heufel marks.
