Splendid! This circa 1898 ruby to green Vaseline glass pitcher is a color bonanza!
Its lightly ribbed and flattened form has a folded down shaped spout and applied gold gilt handle. The thickly applied raised enamel floral decoration has distinct Art Nouveau look.
This type of floral motif was a specialty of Professor Max Rade; winning him a Decorative Arts silver medal in 1902 at Turin – and then a gold metal in St. Louis.
Stands approximately 8-1/2” tall. No damage or restoration. Wear to gold enameling on handle.
Fluoresces under blacklight.
