Absolutely beautiful! The rich, caramel coloring of the glaze paired with the stunning Arts & Crafts design of this stellar pair of bookends by California Clay Products make them an irresistible temptation.

These rare Adam and Eve bookends were not sold by the South Gate, California earthenware tile manufacturer, but were given to their employees as gifts.

CALCO was founded in 1923 by Rufus Keeler who, in 1926 became the general manager of the Malibu Potteries which he established for May Rindge.

Approximately 6” tall x 7” long x 3” at widest. No damage or restoration.
