Sevres Art Deco Ceramic Box with Sang-de-bouf Oxblood Glaze & Gilt Metal Mounts

Outstanding Sevres Art Deco era hinged ceramic box with rich oxblood glaze. Heavy gold gilt medallions with a distinctive oriental flare encircle this regal looking circular box of ample proportion.

Measures approximately 6-1/2” diameter x 3-3/8” tall. There is a glaze skip to the lower edge of the box’s base. (See photo) This is not damage related, but is a naturally occurring feature common to this particularly thick glaze used at the Sevres factory. No damage or restoration.
